Request for Expression of Interest for Water Well Drilling Project

A. Background:

Zemen Bank S.C., is pursuing a growth plan in line with an 11  years strategic road map. To support its aggressive growth strategy, especially with the development of the required facilities in support of the fast Ethiopian Bank’s growth and also to back the National water resource self reliance plan of corporations, Zemen Bank  would like to drill its own water well for its new skyscraper building.

In line with this water well drilling program, on the premises of the Zemen Bank head quarter building located in Addis Ababa, further expansion in the bank sector is planned to be implemented in the coming few years. For the implementation of the water well drilling project Zemen Bank S.C., would like to hire a contractor in different terms.

This EOI is therefore meant for the selection of a national drilling firm that can perform both the investigation and drilling activities.

The purpose of this call is to identify potential firms who can do the Hydrogeological Investigation and mechanical drilling of boreholes for ZEMEN Bank Head Office Building; which is located in Addis Ababa around Mexico area.

B. Scope of the Services Required

To conduct comprehensive hydro geological feasibility study, locate potential well site by Conducting rigorous primary and secondary data collection, hydrological, geological, hydro geological and hydro chemical surveys by employing standard and relevant methods, techniques and tools including the drilling.

The Client expected to have a safe yield of 4 Liters/Second considering the demand set per day.

GENERAL

FDRE PUBLIC SERVANTS SOCIAL SECURITY AGENCY would like to invite competent Water Well Drilling Contractors /General Water Works Contractors (WWDC/GWWC-3) to undertake the design and construction of deep water well for PSSSA 4B+19 HQ & 4B+16RB building Project around Piassa which is currently under construction and in the finishing stage.

The scope will include, but not limited to:

• Preparation of design document for a 250m deep water well
• Soil investigation
• Drilling of deep water well
• And supply and installation of assorted pumps and accessories,

The requirement is however more detailed in a tender document which will be delivered to all interested contractors who fulfill the criteria. Firms will be evaluated based on their demonstrationof technical and financial proposals in response to the request. In addition to the information requested in the RFP interested firms must provide an updated copy of their company profile with work catalogue demonstrating their experience in similar assignments along with names of at least three (3) references with contact information (physical address, email and telephone number)

• The interested Contractor shall present the following renewed legal documents to purchase the bid VAT certificate, TIN certificate, trade license, competency certificate.
• The bid shall be valid for 60 (Sixty) days after bid opening
• Any interested Contractor must have ample experience in designing projects with similar nature.

The Technical Proposal shall be marked “ORIGINAL” or “COPY” as appropriate. The original (signed and stamped on all pages) and copies of the Technical Proposal shall be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “TECHNICAL PROPOSAL”. All required copies of the Technical Proposal are to be made from the original. The design proposal shall be enclosed in the technical document as an addendum. Similarly, the original Financial Proposal shall be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “FINANCIAL PROPOSAL” followed by the procurement reference number and the name of the assignment, and with a warning “DO NOT OPEN WITH THE TECHNICAL PROPOSAL”.

World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is an International Humanitarian Christian Organization whose objective is to provide holistic and integrated development and emergency response programs in the country.

World Vision’s work in Ethiopia contributes to the well-being of vulnerable children in partnership with the church, civil society and the government. Initiatives include education, food security, health, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation, and hygiene, as well as sponsorship management. All programs are implemented with the goal of addressing the strategic and basic needs of children while supporting and building the capacity of families and communities.

World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) wants to pre-qualify potential companies in the following categories for current fiscal year who are interested to work with WVE at the different Regional States of Ethiopia, World Vision Ethiopia’s Program Areas by furnishing all the necessary labor, materials and equipment.

1.Contractors in Category of Water Wells Drilling Contractors, registered, licensed, renewed and valid for the year 2013 or 2012 with tax clearance EC (2020GC). The contractor should be well experienced and accomplished shallow and or deep water wells drilling and construction.

Interested eligible contractors can register at World Vision Ethiopia-Head Office on the address shown below by delivering credential renewed license upon submitting valid email address of the company during working hours (1:30 PM to 4:00 PM), From December 2-8, 2020. The prequalification bidding document (TOR) will be distributed to the bidders through e-mail address from December 9-11, 2020.
