Request for Expression of Interest for Water Well Drilling Project

A. Background:

Zemen Bank S.C., is pursuing a growth plan in line with an 11  years strategic road map. To support its aggressive growth strategy, especially with the development of the required facilities in support of the fast Ethiopian Bank’s growth and also to back the National water resource self reliance plan of corporations, Zemen Bank  would like to drill its own water well for its new skyscraper building.

In line with this water well drilling program, on the premises of the Zemen Bank head quarter building located in Addis Ababa, further expansion in the bank sector is planned to be implemented in the coming few years. For the implementation of the water well drilling project Zemen Bank S.C., would like to hire a contractor in different terms.

This EOI is therefore meant for the selection of a national drilling firm that can perform both the investigation and drilling activities.

The purpose of this call is to identify potential firms who can do the Hydrogeological Investigation and mechanical drilling of boreholes for ZEMEN Bank Head Office Building; which is located in Addis Ababa around Mexico area.

B. Scope of the Services Required

To conduct comprehensive hydro geological feasibility study, locate potential well site by Conducting rigorous primary and secondary data collection, hydrological, geological, hydro geological and hydro chemical surveys by employing standard and relevant methods, techniques and tools including the drilling.

The Client expected to have a safe yield of 4 Liters/Second considering the demand set per day.

Document to be submitted: –

• Expression of interest will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures specified in Zemen Bank S.C procurement manual.
• Interested eligible service providers may submit expressions  of interest to Zemen Bank S.C, Facility Management Department in two copies (Original & Copy) indicating that they are qualified to perform the services;
• Company profile, qualified man power (CV) and description of Core Business & years in business,
• Relevant Experience in the field of assignment,
• Technical and Managerial capabilities,
• Evidence showing similar project delivered with turnkey contract and testimonies.
• List of Available Machineries.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below at or before December 9, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. in the morning and will be opened on December 9, 2020 at 9:30 A.M. in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who wish to attend the event at Facility Management Department, Kazanchis, Joseph Tito Street, Genet Building 2nd Floor late submissions shall be rejected.

Interested and eligible bidders may obtain further information from Zemen Bank S.C and collect the bidding document during office hour Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 Noon starting from this announcement date until bid closing date.

Zemen Bank S.C reserves the right to reject any or all bids and any items on the bid.
