In Ethiopia, NCA is legally registered with Civil Society Organizations Agency as a Foreign Charity. NCA has maintained a presence in Ethiopia since 1974, undertaking both emergency and development activities in five thematic programs; namely, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Reproductive Health, Climate Resilience, Humanitarian Response and Peace Building. The Humanitarian response program of NCA under Gambella filed office, is implementing WASH Projects particularly Mensuration hygiene management project in Gambella region Jewi refugee camp and part of Gambella town.
NCA Gambella field office planned to construct two permanent female-friendly latrine with four seats and two iron sheet-superstructure safe space block both in Gambella town and jewi refugee camp using a fund obtained from its own source.

2. The Ethiopian Roads Authority now invites bidders to submit sealed bids for providing the necessary labor, material and equipment for construction works of the above road projects.

6. Bidders can apply for one or for all or for any number of projects from the above listed projects under the package and shall submit their bid separately for each project they are interested to apply for. However, bidders may be awarded on the projects under a package subjected to fulfilling of the Qualification Criteria for individual and multiple projects specified in the respective bidding documents based on the Employer’s best economical advantage.
7. Bidders shall submit their Bids in two envelopes, the first envelop labeled as “Qualification Information and Bid Security” and the second envelope “Financial Bid”, separate sealed and the two envelopes sealed in on other outer envelope.
8. Evaluation is to be carried out in two stages, Qualification Information first and Financial Bids of qualified Bidders next.
9. Bids must be delivered to the address, time and date specified below. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 500,000.00 for each project in a format acceptable to the employer. Late bids will be rejected. One Original and five Copies of the bids have to be submitted. The Qualification information and Bid Security will be opened immediately after the submission deadline in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, at the address below.
10.The value of total certified payments received in each year shall be adjusted for inflation of Birr value through multiplying by Cn/Co factor, where Cn is value of 1 US Dollar in Birr on the 28 day prior to bid submission date and Co is the value of 1 US Dollar in Birr computed using the selling exchange rate prevailing on the last date of the respective fiscal year.
11. For the Specific construction projects experience requirement, the Contract value of projects referenced by the bidder shall be adjusted to reflect the current purchasing power of Ethiopian Birr by multiplying with Cn/Co factor, where Cn is the current selling exchange rate of 1 US Dollar to Ethiopian Birr which is taken at the 28th days prior to bid submission date and Co is the selling exchange rate of 1 US Dollar to Ethiopian Birr at the date of signing the Contract.

Bank of Abyssinia interested to develop its headquarters building Project (4B + G + M + 50-60) for the Design-Build (DB) Services and/or Works to be procured through Open International Competitive Bid (ICB)
2. The Project Building is located in Addis Ababa City, around the Mexico square area, adjacent to Wabi Shebelle Hotel
3. The DB Services and/or Works under these contracts generally consist of design services and construction works of two building components, namely; corporate office and commercial building components.
4. The DB Services and/or Works under these contracts in detail consists of:
a. Relocation of utility lines in the underground and other infrastructures,
b. pre-design services including, but not limited to, development of a detailed design brief, data collection, topographical surveys and interpretation, determination of the optimum building types and space allocations, and development of a schedule of accommodations in consultation with the employer sufficient for the conceptual, preliminary and final design Services. All works required to have reports including design reports.
c. Design services including Conceptual and Preliminary design services necessary and sufficient to acquire a Building Permit and final design Services at stages necessary and sufficient for the construction works.
d. Construction works of the 4B + G + M + 50-60 headquarters building project
5. The building shall have an estimated minimum total floor area of 148,180 m’ on lot A and 16,034 m on Lot B fulfill the minimum FAR requirement of the local development plan and an estimated net floor area of not less than 80% and in no way its maximum total floor area shall be more than 160,000 mº for block A and 27,000 m2 for Block B which may be developed in stages/phases to respect the Bank’s ability to finance.
6. Bidding / tendering shall be conducted through Open International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures and is open to all eligible bidders as specified and defined in the Bid/tender Document.
7. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased/collected by invited bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 500.00 (Five Hundred Ethiopian Birr) or equivalent USD amount.
8. The bid document shall be collected from Abyssinia Bank Procurement department, located at Meskel Square area, Sunshine Building 1″ floor on working hours (Monday to Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, 1:00 PM4:30PM and Saturday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM) starting from November 26, 2020.
9. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before January 26, 2021
10. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of USD 50,000.00 or ETB 1,800,000.00 in Certified Cheque (CPO) or unconditional Bank guarantee countered by a local bank. Bid securities issued by foreign banks or financial institutions shall be counter-guaranteed by an Ethiopian bank.
11. Late bids will be rejected. Responsiveness and qualification information and bid security of the bidders shall be opened first in the all bidders’ representatives who choose to attend, at the address of Bank of Abyssinia Board Room, RAS Building, 2nd floor, on the final date of the bid submission; that is, January 26, 2021, at 5:00 (local time) as stated in the BDS.
12. Bank of Abyssinia reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
13. No restricted bidder is allowed to duplicate or transfer the bidding document that he/she acquired to participate under this invitation. Legally authorized agents shall collect the bidding documents for each principal they are representing

2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Open Biding and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Documents.

10. Bidder has to confirm that he accepts the correction of the calculation error According to the provision stipulated in article 16.19.2.1 of the regional revised public procurement directive bidders with the arithmetic error of more or less than 2 % as compare to their respective readout price shall be rejected.
