Therefore, Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) invites competent contractors having construction licenses on GC and BC with a grade of 1 to 5 and interested to work with fixed price rates set by the corporation to submit sealed prequalification application for expression of interest.
Brief Scope of Work
The main project activities to be carried out by sub-contractors include small structures(small bridges, culverts, drainage structures Head regulator and cross regulator structures, Syphons and aqueducts, Inverted Syphons, Concrete Lining Work of Main Canal) and earthworks including excavation of various formations, compaction and caraway work under the dam, Irrigation, water supply, road and bridges, building and housing construction projects. Detail speciation and quantity of works will be specified after shortlisting of contractors as depends on the nature of the project
1. The Applicant is required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria;
Applicants shall provide the statutory registration documents i.e. copies of TIN VAT registration certificate, Tax Clearance and Trade License which are renewed in the budget year.
Demonstrate financial and organizational strength by attaching audited accounts for the last 3 years.
Company profile which contains Historical background and Organizational Structure, Company experience in similar projects. List of Heavy and Light Equipment and machinery owned or Leased with supporting documents.
Current Financial Situation of the Company.
The applicant must be category BC (grade 1 to 5) and GC (grade 1 to 5) ConstructionLicense which has expressed interest to participate and has made available documentation of proven experience in similar construction works.
The applicant must have, in the past 5 years Constructed at least one similar project in terms of the project scope and cost.

The applicant shall bear all costs related to the preparation and submission of this EOI. Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation shall in no case be liable or responsible for these costs regardless of the conduct and outcome of the selection process
Incorrect, incomplete, inadequate information may lead to rejection of the applications

Applicants may be requested to clarification on the submitted document,
ECWC has the right to reject the application without communicating with the contractor
ECWC shall not provide an explanation to the applications related to the shortlisting and selection process. The decision of ECWC in this respect shall be final and binding on all applicants.
ECW shall not be enforced to pay an advance payment for subcontractors

INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has applied for financing from Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) for the Construction Works of Debre Markos – Digua Tsion – Mota Road Project.
The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) on Behalf of the FDRE invites international eligible Contractors (including all members of a joint venture and all Subcontractors of bidders) for the Construction Works of Debre Markos – Digua Tsion – Mota Road Project. The Road Project is to be constructed in two separate Contracts, Contract 1: Debre Markos – Km 60.56 (60.56 Km) and Contract 2: Km 60.56 – Mota (57.81 Km).
In general, the proposed Debre Markos – Digua Tsion – Mota Road Project consists of construction of 60.56 Km and 57.81 Km roads to Asphalt Concrete surfacing to ERA DC5 standard (ERA’s Geometric Design Manual – 2013).
The works also include the construction of minor and major drainage structures. Rural sections shall have a road carriageway width of 7.0m (with 1.5m and 0.5m sealed with Single Bituminous Surface Treatment shoulders on each side for flat/rolling sections and mountainous sections respectively). For town sections; Zonal seat shall have 2.5m median width with both sides having 3.5m parking lane, 3.5m Carriageway, and 2.5m walkway, and Woreda seats shall have 7m carriageway with 3.5m parking lane and 2.5m walkway on each side. Whereas, Kebele seats shall have a 7m carriageway with 2.5 m paved shoulder on each side. The time of completion for each project is 42 months (1278 calendar days) including a mobilization period of 120 calendar days.
