ETHIOPIAN JOB CREATION COMMISSION Clarification and Amendment on Renovation Work of Bole sub city woreda 02 Youth center building

We hereby amend opening and closing date of Invitation for bid that has been advertised on the Addis Zemen newspaper under invitation No. JCC/NCB/ RW/09/13/20 for the Procurement of Renovation Work of Bole sub city woreda 02 Youth center building at Addis Ababa for Job Creation Commission.

Bidders ask for clarification on the contractors Grade which is stated on the invitation specifically for general contractors (GC-4) and above. Therefore, as stated on the standard bidding document Section 1: Instructions to Bidders ITB 4.5(b)(ii) both GC-4 and above which means BC-3 and above also can participate in the bid.

Accordingly Bid closing has extended from November 19, 2020 to November 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM and the bid opening shall take place at 10:30 AM the same date

in the presence of the bidders or their legal representative who choose to attend in person at Job Creation Commission, Procurement, finance, Property and General service Directorate Office, Ground floor.

Invitation for Bids (IFB)

Job Creation Commission plans to procure Construction of Renovation Work of Bole sub-city woreda 02 Youth center building Addis Ababa.

1. Job Creation Commission now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders who have Grade GC-4 and Above General Contractors for Works of Renovation Work of Bole sub-city woreda 02 Youth center building.
2. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures Contained in the public procurement proclamation of the Federal government of Ethiopia which is open to all eligible and qualified bidders.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and collect the Bidding Documents at the address given below at 7 (a) from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
4. Eligible documents are: -Renewed trade license for the current year, Tax clearance and VAT registration certificate from MOFED, Tax Payer Identification Certificate (TIN).
5. A complete set of the bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested bidders at the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200.00 (two hundred Birr). The method of payment will be cash.
6. Bidding documents must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) on or before November 16, 2020, at 10:00 AM Addis Ababa. Late bids shall be rejected.
7. Bids shall be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 7(d) on November 16, 2020, at 10:30 AM.

8. All Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security of ETB 100,000.00 (One hundred Thousand birr) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency in the form of CPO or unconditional bank guarantee.

9. Job Creation Commission reserves the right to reject any bid and to annul the biddingነ process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract, without thereby including any liability to Bidders.
