INVITATION TO BID

To: all contractors of category GC-5/BC-5 and above with license valid for the year 2012 E.C and can present registration certificate for construction work service from the concerned organization.

1. Amhara Credit and Saving Institution ACSI has invited wax-sealed bids compromising of a financial proposal from eligible bidders for providing the necessary labor, materials, and equipment for the construction and completion of

• Lot -I [Addis Zemen, Estie & Woreta] ACSI Building remaining works.
• Lot-III [ Mehal-Meda & Sela-Dingay] ACSI Building remaining works.

2. The priced (financial) bid documents may be obtained by any interested eligible bidders on the submission of a written application to Amhara Credit and Saving Institution

• And upon payment of non-refundable birr 100 (One Hundred)
• To whom all inquiries and correspondences should be addressed

3. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond, at the bidder option, in any of the following formants: An unconditional bank Guarantee, an irrevocable Letter of Credit and cash, check certified by a reputable bank or financial institution, or payable order in sum equal to 1% of the bid amount including VAT which shall remain in force for 90 colander days from the bid opening date and shall be in separate envelope. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the sum of 10% of the gross bid sum within 15 days from signature

4. Bidders are warned that they must read and comply in full with the “INSTRUCTION TO BEDDERS”

5. The construction of works shall be completed within a maximum of 180 calendar days from the commencement of works.

6. All bids shall be submitted based on the free market price.

7. The priced bid documents shall be in separate envelopes (one original and one copy)

8. The priced bid will be Evaluated based on financial least bidder.

9. The Bid document can be purchased from Amhara Credit and Saving Institution (ACSI), main office 4th floor room number 403 beginning from the first announcement date until 21th calendar day at 11:00 AM upon a payment of non-refundable fee of Ethiopian birr 500.00 (five hundred birr only).

10. Sealed priced bid documents shall be submitted to Amhara Credit and Saving Institution, room no 05 second floor on or before 21 calendar days from the first date of advertisement at 2:00 Pm hours and shall be publicly opened the day (21 calendar days from the first date of advertisement), and the same place at 3:00 PM hours in Amhara Credit and Saving Institution when the names of the bidders and the amount of their bids will be declared Bidders are advised to attend the opening of the bids,

12.Bidders must present a certificate of VAT registration.

13. Each Bidder can participate No more than one lot.

14. The Amhara Credit and Saving Institution reserves the right to reject any or all bids without giving reasons therefore and to waive informalities and irregularities which do not constitute a material modification in the bids received.
